Pitch in for the Community

This year there will be a number of positions opening on the board. We are asking the community to pitch in and serve a term. The time commitment is minimal usually less than 1 hour a month. Please consider pitching in, getting to know your neighbors and help make Spring Brook Acres the community you wish it to be. If you are interested or know someone who is please contact a board member.

Chip and Seal

Chip and Seal is going to be laid down on the south side of the neighborhood divided by Hidden Timbers. Doing this will ensure our roads will last much longer and prevent future maintenance. Our hope is to have this done at the same time as the chip and seal is done on the roads from the water main project. Doing it at the same time will save money and shorten the time our roads are under construction.

Future Development

You have probably noticed the signs for future development at the entrance on Springbrook Rd. This is city-owned property and they are preparing to put a new water lift station on the lot. It is anticipated to be completed in 2027. The city has sent letters to people who will be affected by the construction.

Street Signs

New street signs and posts have been installed replacing signs and correcting inconsistencies in spelling to comply with the USPS standards of street name spellings. Old street signs are available to residents first come first serve. They'll be placed just outside the older garage.

Maintenance Backup Needed

Springbrook Acres HOA would like to have some people for backup Maintenance in case of illness or vacation of our current caretakers. This would be a paid position and includes Snowplowing, mowing, etc. If you or someone you know are interested, please contact our current caretaker, Wayne Rippel, at 605-545-7235.

Payment Dropbox

Save on postage! The new secure HOA payment drop box is installed and ready for use. It is located next to the driveway of the maintenance lot. Please feel free to drop your HOA dues in the box rather than mailing it. If you utilize the drop box please ensure your name and address are on the envelope so w know who to apply the credit to.

Speed Bumps

After years of debate, the board has finally approved two speed bumps to be installed in the neighborhood. The hope is to have them installed this summer at the same time as the chip and seal. More information to follow as more decisions are made.
